Episode 46 - Fireworks Delay





On the Needles

Eunice
-Wollmeise 100% in Pesto WD
-Signature dpns in US 2 (2.75 mm)
-Did a 3rd repeat on the leg. Working my way out the foot!

Green Phase socks
-Trekking XXL in 401
-US 1 (2.25 mm), knit over 72 stitches
-Working on the gusset of sock #1. This got a lot of work done on it at Beauty & the Beast

-US 4 (3.5 mm)
-Co-worker was supposed to be induced this morning, so I need to get going on this!

-getting close to being done with the second 1/3 of this!
-ended up with a cramp in the muscle in front of my shin (the tibialis anterior!)

Millie's Fleece
-Dad helped to flickcard and drumcard a big bunch of the fleece last weekend. But I've still got a *TON* left to do.
-Beginning to consider sweaters. Current front runner is the Traveling Sweater by A. Karen Alfke. Please make suggestions!

  2. Hi Carin, thanks so much for posting things about spinning. I love that I am not the only one that has fun making string!

    I do have a question for you. In previous episodes, you showed us how you predraft the roving. But how do you go about winding the predrafted fiber into little balls? Does that compact the fiber at all while you are spinning? If you could show me how you go about winding it into easier-to-handle bits, that would be really helpful!

  3. I just wind up the pre-drafted bits just like I would if I was hand-winding yarn into a ball. I doesn't make any difference in the fiber that I've seen.
