I am more of a lurker, but just wanted to let you know I really enjoy your Video Podcasting!
ReplyDeleteHi Carin, thanks so much for posting things about spinning. I love that I am not the only one that has fun making string!
ReplyDeleteI do have a question for you. In previous episodes, you showed us how you predraft the roving. But how do you go about winding the predrafted fiber into little balls? Does that compact the fiber at all while you are spinning? If you could show me how you go about winding it into easier-to-handle bits, that would be really helpful!
Thanks for sharing your fibery pursuits!
I just wind up the pre-drafted bits just like I would if I was hand-winding yarn into a ball. I doesn't make any difference in the fiber that I've seen.
ReplyDeleteWould love the link to the beautiful cable needles!
ReplyDeleteLove your choice of sweater for the Millie-yarn-to-be! Would also like to suggest the tangled yoke cardigan from Interweave...
I completely forgot to put that link in!
ReplyDeleteIt's at www.celticswan.com
I'm working on my very first sweater (dramatic wrap cardigan by sweater babe) but the traveling sweater may have to be my second sweater! I'd love it if you did that one and I could follow along!
ReplyDeletethanks for your podcast. I really enjoy it
