I'm going to stop watching your show because you make me cry - JOKE, JOKE!!! I cannot believe someone would send messages like that. Currently I am behind watching my shows and had no idea of this for Single Handed Knitter. What is wrong with people??? I have the same opinion - if you don't like, don't watch, end of story. Keep it up Carin, we love you!!! Have a wonderful honeymoon!!!
Thank you for saying what you said, as a small podcaster i have been lucky and havent experienced much meanness. I Think what all the podcasters do. You are all my main source of entertaining, i dont watch everyone, i just dont have the time to watch them all. but if there is ever a podcast that i dont enjoy i can just stop watching. i dont see the need for being mean and nasty. Thank you for being fantastic and have a great honeymoon!
That little sweater you are working on is super cute :) Thank you for posting this podcast. I am new in the podcast watching world and this was a great first one. I totally agree with your message at the end and wish everyone would find more kindness in their hearts to extend to others.. I know from personal experience that negative feedback doesn't really help anything and is totally different from constructive criticism. Just like you said all it does is make you not want to continue doing what you are doing.. I hope you are having a great honeymoon and I look forward to seeing more posts! :)
Carin, You won't see this because you're on your honeymoon. I just finished watching the latest episode and I'm appalled that people can be so cruel!!! I hadn't heard of her podcast before but I'm going right now to find it and subscribe!! Thank you for your love and compassion!! We all need to hear these things!! I've unsubscribed from several podcasts over the years but I have never ONCE left a hateful message!! No matter why I unsubscribed!! I'm afraid, as you said the anonymity of the internet brings out the worst in some people!! That's why cyber-bullying is such a huge problem!! We love and appreciate your tender heart so much!! I hope your honeymoon is GREAT!!
You are so right about people needing to be kind to each other. Sadly some people don't seem to be able to see beyond their own problems and bullies will always be out there. No one could be sweeter than Mel and I for one am inspired by her. Have a great time knitting in Hawaii and let the wind blow through your hair too! It's one of my favorite things about Mel's podcast. The wind in Mel's hair almost convinces me that I am at the beach too.
I haven't been watching podcasts for a while and have just recently started back to all my old regulars. I didn't know about Single Handed Knitter, but I'll be subscribing to her podcast now. I am a Guillain-Barre Syndrome survivor and still have paralysis in my face. It's something that I am often very self-conscious about, and one reason you won't ever find me doing a podcast. I don't even like people to take my picture. I admire anyone who has a physical disability and puts him or herself out in the public like that. I'm definitely going to start watching and supporting her. Thanks for your heartfelt talk.
Bless you for your kindess and compassion. I hope you have a lovely honeymoon.
