No shownotes this week as it's another travel week for me!

  2. Oh no! Your poor sweater! What a shame after so much work. Is any of the yarn saveable at all? I have at times used a hairdryer to dry slightly damp knitted items on a medium heat and that works out OK

Look at the bright side though - your sweater will be the one that is ALWAYS remembered at Rhinebeck - infamously famous! :)

  3. whoa...sorry about the sweater.

Someday I will make it to Rhinebeck. Was hoping this year but decided to go to Montreal at the end of the month instead.

  4. How awful about your sweater. I can't imagine how you felt; I would have cried for days. It's great to see you still smiling.
Oh, Rhinebeck. Someday I hope to take in that event. I've never been to a festival of any kind so if I were there I would simply enjoy the whole experience. I'd have to fly from the west coast so am looking for a fellow knitter in my area to go to any event, anywhere. Someday.
    Love your vidcast.

  5. Oh Carin, I just read Stephanie's tale of woe and then I started your podcast episode. I am so sad for you and your sweater. After reading about two experienced knitters popping knitting into the oven, I think I shall never try it. I'll resort to wearing my clothing wet if need be.

  6. I am so sorry about your sweater. And kind of glad I was so awestruck with just meeting you that I forgot to ask about the Kauni. Again, so sorry.

  8. Carin,
It was so much fun hanging out with you on Saturday! I needed you there on Sunday. I fell down hard in the loop booth. Yes, i went back and looked around some more. Yes, some angel wings and unicorn souls came home with me.

We need to start making plans for next year!

  9. Oh, I am so sorry to hear of your sweater. How devastating! The good news is that it wasn't 100% cashmere, yak or quivuit (sp).

I was intrigued by the batt with the center pull. I'm watching you again to see if I can pick up on who you got it from.

Keep on smiling and thanks for the videocast.

  10. Oh my. That is sad. Is there a section that you could cut out and use for a bag or felt for mittens or something?

  12. Even with the death of the sweater, I am so envious of your trip to Rhinebeck! Someday I'll get there! :-) And to share a sweater horror story- my dear hubby threw my angora sweater in the dryer- (only worn once) and now my neice's dolly wears it.
